Description
Attention to Seiko fans, Seiko presents special collaboration with rock legend Brian Harold May, guitarist of legendary rock band QUEEN. Limited edition 12,500 timepieces only. Brian's favourite guitar, the 'Red Special' is the inspiration behind the design and colour of this one of a kind special Seiko 5 Sports Model. For more than 40 years, Brian has worn a Seiko diver's watch, which is testament to its endurance and everlasting popularity and has become an inspiration for this latest Seiko 5 Sports collection. Brian happened on his first Seiko watch while first on tour in Japan in the 70s and since then, his iconic handmade guitar and watch have become inseparable and indispensable in his travels around the globe. Creating great music and keeping perfect time. This special model SRPH80K1 featured diameter 42.5 mm. The dial recreates the fine details of the legendary guitar with a pressed pattern reminiscent of the texture wood, glossy finished and gradated colour. The watch case is a special gold colour version, requested by Brian himself, inspired by the newly released "Gold Series" reissues of his solo albums. Powered by new calibre 4R36 and the back case engraved with serial number alongside with Brain's signature. The watch fitted with nylon strap is decorated with vertical stripes designed to resemble guitar strings. The presentation box which accompanies the piece is reminiscent of a guitar case and comes with a replica of the 'lucky sixpence' coin which Brian uses instead of a guitar pick.
